Couldn't Quit

N

She stood there by herself
Unafraid of anything
She was happy for she was there
Because of her own choices
And not because she listened to others

She saw a few dark days
Just like she lived bright days
She knew every dark thing would pass by
And she was strong enough to accept changes
Having reached the top, all alone

She now became a bold girl
Someone strong and fierce
Who would not regret her choices
She was a ferocious lion
A person who would not forget those
Who did her wrong

She would not forget who poured their
Love to her
No, she wouldn't
People who helped her to
Travel the less traveled road
Were worth millions

But she wouldn't dare quit now
She sacrificed too much already
She couldn't stake her life
Although, it had been very hard for her lately
She decided to continue

She wouldn't quit
She couldn't quit
She just, couldn't

  • Comment from author about the poem: Road up ahead is difficult to travel, my friend. But keep moving on for you'll see the sun settle. Fresh breeze of air will kiss your scars and you'll feel content.
