Pitch and Toss

Alex PB

Notice of absence from Alex PB
Writin' more and more poems is my job,
I shall write when Shakespeare is back.

If you could risk everything on one turn of pitch and toss,

Would you capture it, or just let it go?

If you could risk your name on one turn of pitch and toss,

Would you 'low it, or never show it off?

If you could risk your whole pride on one turn of pitch and toss,

Would you do it, or cry into the deep night of unwavering pain?

If you could risk your death on one turn of pitch and toss,

Would you be like me and suicide, ending all pain in one kiss with death,

Whilst doctors around you trying to bring you back to life catching your last breath.
