A swallow's heart

Lucás O'Dalaigh

As the swallow flies, a soft love sings,

No heed to the others, the heart stays true.

The dawn may fly away,

But the heart never turns grey.

The home is home, but the hurt still stings,

The hope may hide away, you may need to start a new

The dark comes fast

But the Flame within will last

And the heart lives for eternity
