Flowers Of Her Soul

Charles Edward York

The flowers of her soul bloom in everything
Her gestures of kindness
Drops their leaves
Raining petals
Wherever she goes
And in her eyes of blue ice
There is the fire of
An exotic yet pure kind of people
Warm as her red sweater
Rich as her dark hair
And proud as she is tall
Infinitely demure
Her quiet exuberance
Matched by a passion
Only lovers, poets and patriots
Overflow with
And truly understand.
