On that picturesque day
The Sun would shine on her
Intent to steal a boy’s heart
With just a smile she’d capture
Awestruck at first sight
Everything else out of focus
Except her smiling face
Mesmerized by some hocus pocus
He knew nothing of love
But now a student of new school
With every passing day
She was his golden rule
The days grew into months
The months into years
Though she moved away
She would be his driving gears
The years would pass
Love would come and go
But never again a smile
Quite like her glow
And because of her
He smiles all day
Smiles all night
Cause that’s love’s way
Now an elderly man
He still remembers her
Because she smiled
His heart is all the wealthier

That's what I told her Andy. But I have to wonder if she thought I'd eventually forget her. Not happening! 😊
