Blue Sky
thy erudite sublime
it’s, been a while
since
I made time
to look up, and smile
they’ve, been talking of war
and life’s
becoming even more of a chore
how comforting, then
to know
even if it slips, my mind
you’re still
looking over me, so
devotedly

Time to see the Infinity to explore the infinite possibilities in US.
Great thoughts MEK.
These lines are insightful
"you’re still looking over me, so
devotedly "
Thanks Mek !!
I find them more comforting, than insightful
but I'm glad you enjoyed the read, dear poet..
(Indeed, making Time
'to explore the infinite possibilities in US'
is what these humble scribble, speaks to)
Good write LB.
Erm, it's been a while since we commented on each other's poems. lol.
What a inspiring message. It's emphatic and intense. Those final lines are such a warm heartfelt hug that I can relate too so much. That "protector" to love us during the hard times! 💖
ohhh, I am so humbled you could connect
with my humble scribble, this emotionally
your words far supersede my hopes
for emoting the feelings, I was trying to convey
at the time of writing these words..
you've made my day!
thank you, dear poet
In midst of chaos
It brought peace
A sudden calm
The wind that carried me in midst of meadows
To feel the nature from the chaotic mess
Very beautiful write dear Mek
as is your wonderful poetic reply, dear poet
'In midst of chaos' - 'A sudden calm'
what a sumptuous wording of gifted peace
In midst of chaos
It brought peace
A sudden calm
The wind that carried me in midst of meadows
To feel the nature from the chaotic mess
Very beautiful write dear Mek
That blue sky is always there for us Mek.
Andy
indeed Andy, why we must
cherish it
for, if those nuclear toys
start getting thrown about
it won't be there for long...
best to do just that my friend .. to make sure its still there but hey .. I know you are not one to bury your head in the proverbial sand ... still its a comfort, isn't it nevertheless ..
top notch sir Mek ......... Neville
'comfort', indeed!
thank you: trust you
to identify my key word for this write, Hyung
I was aiming to replicate
your subtle nudge, style
and offer a little reminder
at Nature's soothing gifts..
they're free, so why not - partake
and find our thread
to those illusive, avenues of solace
in our lives...
Thank you dear Mek for sharing so aptly the comfort of moments spent looking at nature's free gifts - -and indeed so needed right now
a nature poem that gets your resounding approval
I'll memorise these words then
as this scribble, must be one of my better efforts..
thank you! dear Fay
our resident Nature Poet, Supreme
beautiful, "Did you see the frightened ones? Did you hear the falling bombs?" the blue sky can be a solemn sacrifice in war time. You reminded me of the same allusion from Pink Floyd's The Wall. Beautifully tightly written!
thank you, dear poet
and when I checked out 'the wall'
these lyrics, resonated with me most:
'And some gather together in bands
The bleeding hearts and the artists
Make their stand
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad buggers wall'
The Wall has a powerful presence that has been foundational to my interpretation of an artist. The cyclical nature of the album, and the intersectional pressures a person faces when they create over and over. I made a series of pen and ink portraits in 2020 to the story of The Wall I called, "The Death of an Artist". Until I kick the can though I'll make my stand. thank you, dear poet
There's depth, warm thoughts! Beautiful! Let's hope for peace soon. 🙂
Amen!
thank you, dear poet
The blue sky that soothing the pain, healing the wound and carrying the hope, sometime might covered by clouds. We know if we keep our head up, we will see it for sure. Beautiful writting.
thank you, so glad my humble words
invited such hopeful thoughts from you
that's all I dared to wish for
when inking this scribble
