arms dealers

jark

arms dealers and flag manufacturers

seem to have a lot in common

sell your products and keep conflict spawning

messaging and munitions aren’t inherently wrong

arms dealers though, sell weapons to both sides

in war there must be men never asking what’s right

winners are irrelevant to the factory man

in-fact winning isn’t at all in his plan

winning would mean the end of the conflict

and that would mean the end of his profit

the arms dealer scours for moments to depict

as terror, too far! fervor in need for action!

while he cowers beside the powers that be

he presides in a tower's top for all to see

it's made of profit, blood, bones and burnt bridges.

all those dollars so worthless as religions

at the end of your wit, rope, and clip.

an arms dealer may lay down his chips

a flag salesmen though has but a couple of wishes

keep your messages mainstream, no matter how fringe

display your sign to everyone! that’s where it begins

buy a confederate battle flag!

or buy ‘ol america with all her 50 states!

flag salesmen think only of sales made today.

buy a country's flag you could never name!

flag salesmen kowtow to social pressures unafraid,

buy an black flag! an anarchist symbol!

buy a custom flag! with a personal scribble!

buy an lgbt flag! a sign of solidarity!

buy a terrorists flag and protest a charity!

they don’t care, truly! what you do with your fabric

nor does a gunman really care for your tactics

as long as you're never winning, losing, or quitting an attack

arms dealers and flag manufactures never have your back.
