I Love the Truth

matthew jay

Lies can never become truth

No matter how often told

No matter who tells them

A lie stays a lie for all time

It is possible for lies to be believed

But they are still untruths

I have no respect for Washington D.C.

For those who have come to believe

A lie can become truth

If told enough times

The problem is...

They believed a lie

  • Comment from author about the poem: I am tired of hearing politicians lie to us straight faced. They call it a craft, as if it is an art. It is not.

In the name of democracy.. quite a shame

Yes, it is. I am a veteran and used to believe what I was told by government. I now question everything I hear or read.
