Around The Bend

A.D. Small

Prompt: Underneath these tangerine skies.

Around The Bend

Warm watermelon sun rise
A fierce storm in nature
The way time flies
A totally candid capture

We may move like oceans
When we are on the same page
Twisting in perfect motions
A controllable rage

We dodge every turn
Like lighting a match
Even if the pages burn
The flames would never catch

These ashes may float
Under this warm sky
But like a heavy coat
You will be safe and dry

So move in silence with me
Like the ashes in the wind
We will get there eventually
Just around the bend
