Dear Diana

AL17

You bring to me

a reverie each night.

you intoxicate me

with your virginal light.

But Diana!

Why do you turn red?

Are you jealous of the Sun?

He is passion.

He is fire.

But darling, it’s you

Who I’ll love forever.

Your romantic gaze

Shines upon the world.

Your melancholic gleam

Glows with brilliance uncurbed.

But Diana!
Do tell me why you turn red.

Do you blush at poets’s words?

They promise you love,

And make you feel tender.

But darling, it’s me

Who’ll love you forever.

  • Comment from author about the poem: The moon was orange-red last night, which, in reality, is sad because it is a indicator of atmospheric pollution, but poetry can find inspiration anywhere haha. I didn't take a picture but got one from the net to share with you.
