You think I'm any better?

screaming goat.

Trust is too fragile.

A single mistake

costs you all you have.

"Don't be like them,

they're all weird.

Can't trust a single letter."

Father, seriously,

you think I'm any better?

Sure, the worst think I'm great.

Maybe if you actually tried

to be more than a boss,

you could accomplish more

with me.

"You can't be like that.

It's just plain wrong.

Don't be friends with her,

forget her."

Actually, Mother,

you think I'm any better?

We're all sinners,

and we've all got something wrong.

The Church can't fix everything.

Like the fire and sun,

it brings light,

but there's a limit.

Once it gets too bright,

it's useless.

Can't trust be like love?

Never ending and unconditional.

I'm friends with a debtor, but

really, family,

do you think I'm any better?

Sometimes family can be the hardest to handle.
It's bad when someone you just met understands and loves you more than your own flesh and blood, I completely understand where you're coming from

    'Like the fire and sun,
    it brings light,
    but there's a limit.
    Once it gets too bright,
    it's useless.'
    an apt metaphor
for how to handle faith and belief
    in your life
without, you ending up, some mindless zealot
be free to trust, or entrust
    in whatever you want
but never forget, you control your destiny
so be glad of the Sun's, nourishing gifts
but always be prepared to face
    that moonlight of reality..
    you showcase wise insight
    at a seemingly young age
it bodes well for your future, hopefully..
    thanks for sharing, dear poet
