Money didn't make the sun come up, but it did put the tea in my cup
Love didn't motivate me out the door, it was found when my feet and hands hit the floor
Knowledge is as pure as the pain, each lesson crafted to edge of change
Depression is never in the drugs name, just a reality of no purpose or passion in the vains
Life is endlessly filled with the have and have nots, the greatest test along the way is staying content with what you've got!

- Comment from author about the poem: Don't always pass but each moment we can retry, until the pattern becomes a habit and I focus better on what I have TBD what I don't. Never easy in this fast pace world of push and shove, keep up the write my friends.

That last line says so much but all too often it's truth is only realised when what we have is taken away. By which time regrets are too late.
You know it buddy hopefully I'll never have to write that.... again lol! Although to divorce a second time I'd have to call it a different name!
.
what a triumph
of life-affirmingly empowering, poetic sincerity!
who needs caffeine or a sugar rush
when poetry, alone
can fuel your marathon ambitions...
a great write, brother
lovely to see your succinct poetry, soaring
Lol..... nobody says it better than you, to become each others rush and see the day through.
Always appreciated with a huge thank you!
Loved this write dear Dan!
I used to struggle with other people being successful or driving a mercedes benz. I realized I too am successful in all the things I do. It took a while. But your write was a great way to start the day!!!
Yes I didn't want to say it that clear but yes many own their house and I never will! But that's OK for once you have seen enough darkness you find that just to have a light heart in life is something worth treasuring...
Always an inspirational pleasure, thank you
Absolutely right, Dan,we need to stop, and appreciate the beautiful life we have, instead of always wanting wanting and then face the disappointment of not getting
