Love and Loyalty

sorenbarrett

Loyalty and Love neither greater than the other

both come from the very same mother

Step sisters they have a different name

Yet both are the very same

All or nothing never a fraction

Neither exist without action

Though all say love and loyalty they do possess

There are few things that most men have less

Both powered by the very same light

like the moon reflecting the sun at night

Without one you can’t have the other

Not with oneself or with one’s lover

Infidelity is never right

It’s the only thing that will put out love’s light

Dear poet, wonderful symmetry, so pleasing to the eye in its composition, yet tugging at heart strings. It flows beautifully from one line to the next. You inextricably link the two most important things that a relationship should be based on. A wonderful read!
