Just Be You

ianshatss

You dont have to explain
yourself to anyone,
nor do you need
their approval,
Its not your duty to
be desirable for others,

Find yourself through the things that make you tick
Know yourself to be imperfect and strive not for perfection but improvement
Accept yourself and the fact you do have limits
Learn to laugh at yourself for even self laughter is the best medicine
Love yourself because it is your duty to do so
Be yourself and don’t ever be afraid to express yourself

'Just be you'
how indulgent, our small dreams
soon become
while wading, through our mudslides
of life
what a wonderfully ambitious dream
those three words, represent.
Indeed may we all, find
room enough, in our lives
to be ourselves, even
if it be, just once in a while...

Yes, just be who you truly are,
You don't have to be rich or drive a nice car,
For anybody else, don't change how you act,
You are who you are, and that's a fact,
If someone doesn't respect you for who you are,
Avoid that person, keep the distance far,
Who needs friends like that,so give them a toss,
Either they like you for you,or it's their loss

Just be you
And I’ll be me
We can sing a song
Or climb a tree
Just be you
Who you truly are
I’ll be me
We’ll shine like stars

And live for the moment,
Cause the moments don’t last,
For what’s gone is gone,
There’s no getting it back,
And when you feel down, look
To the sky, and remind yourself how
Delicate this gift of life is

And live for the moment,
Cause the moments don’t last,
For what’s gone is gone,
There’s no getting it back,
And when you feel down, look
To the sky, and remind yourself how
Delicate this gift of life is

Edit

Out of the corner of my eye
As I gaze upon the stars
A blazing streak across the sky
Through rings of fire leaving sparks
And to think
I am made of stardust
We are all made of stardust
