Sleepless Knight

GoldenRibbon00 or UnderTheGreenLeaves

The Night Sky is Enchanting with it Hues of Dark Blue Fading into Onyx Black

The Lands are Silent With No Whispering Winds...Only the Twinkling of the Stars Far Above

Few are Up this Night as they Dream in their Sleep of Alternate Realities where they themselves  Live Alternate Lives beyond the life they live upon waking

Nightmares Full of Devilish Characters sometimes Plague those wanting a Night of Peaceful Slumber

Outside Villages...Creatures both Unnatural and Natural Succumb to the Specter of Sleep

However Some are not Fully Embraced by this Specter

Tossing and Turning with Eyes Closed but Mind Fully Awake and Full of Light that keeps One Chained to A Night Without Rest

A Sleepless Knight Who Faces An Opponent that He Cannot Defeat with any Arms or the Most Powerful of Sorcery

He Moans in Fatigue and Frustration Leaning up in his Cot and Searching for the Trace of the Specter in his Chambers

He Checks each and every Corner but Finds Nothing

Even Drinking a Goblet of Wine to Dampen his Senses Does not Ease his Torment of No Slumber

Pacing Back and Forth He Mutters to Himself...

Going a Bit Mad as his Mind is Half Enveloped by Mania due to this Damnable Insomnia

Oh Sleep! Why does thou Abandon Me when all the Tommorrows of my whole Life demand My Body and Mind be Fully Rested but you Forsake Me

What Whore has Tempted you and made you Forget to Lay the Precious Flakes of Sand on my EyeLids so I can Drift off into the Dark Oblivion of Dreams

The Angels of Heaven and the Denizens of Hell Get their Sleep but me I Do Not and I Curse you for It

All the Foul Names and Titles I Heave upon you Specter for you Deny me my Demand for A Single Night Worth of Sleep

To Hell with You

To Hell with You

Sobbing and Body Shaking with Complete Restlessness

Does this Sleepless Knight spend his Nights

A Sleepless Night Full of No Dreams nor Nightmares

for this Sleepless Knight

    a fantasy, damning
    of that blight, we name
