Imagined Tyrant

Charlie Lu

I’m free, right now, literally free,

All I need is this will to be!

Of taskmasters I have no need,

They own me not, nor shall I heed

Th’imagined tyrant named Money,

The real power in labor lies.

Crippled is productivity,

When dear liberty is denied,

And human nature numbed by drudgery.
