True Bliss Awaits

Charles Edward York

Nothing is lost

When you leave someone

Who mistreats you

As if you are nothing of value

Time and the tide

Wait for no one

When you stumble or fall

Remember you can

Get back up

Even if ever so slowly

Embrace hope

And see the hero

In your mirror.

Everything is possible

When you stand and move

Forward and put behind

The second offer

After denial of the first

Rejection is not

The price of your value

Response is

How you spend

Time tells everyone

Who means most

In your core being.

Embrace hope

And hold fast to visions

They are the roads

Leading to better days

And peaceful nights

Abandon the ghosts

Of hurt and pain

Rejoice in freedom

Hold high your face with grace

For you are precious

The one of a kind treasure

True bliss awaits!
