Power And Cruelty

N

I stood there with every ounce

Of humanity left in me

This new me, scared me

But I wasn’t afraid anymore,

Afraid of this cruel world

I had faced the tragedy

Discrimination, inequality

I’ve been called weak

But here I stood now

Fearless, powerful

Intimidating males

People now fear me

However, they don’t know

They turned me into this person

Whom everyone fears now

I can see terror in their eyes

As I walk pass by

A little wrong move

And they’ll be gone

Empowered here I stand

Support my fellow sisters

Slice the necks of fuckers

Who harm my people

Drive a sword through the hearts

Of the ones who try to take me down

I won’t let them silence me anymore

My power, my soul

Behind every exquisite thing that existed

There was something tragic
