Bicycle in love

Alexander Pope III

My cycle had a humble beginning
Before it started spinning
The father was Mr. Unirox
It came into world without mother, what a paradox

I got this beauty from a village cycle store
Instantly fell in love and never got bore
We went together to many streets and road
But out of love , it never called me heavy load

Our love was growing and blooming
But Corona virus was also looming
Then corona paralysed the city
And my cycle became more gritty

Holding its handle in hand
I whirled passed many bend
It was so happy with my total attention
That our stay on road used to lengthen

Then one day I took it to meet an empress
Who is most difficult to impress
My cycle fell in love with that enchantress
Tried to get her attention with little success

We fought all the way to home
Over something unknown
Many days , we didn’t talk
Nor together took a walk

Then on its 1st birthday I asked the reason
Of my cycle’s treason
Cycle told it has lost sleep
After selling her heart cheap

I immediately took it to a quack
Who diagnosed it as case of heart attack
Cycle was ordered total rest
And some urgent medical test

It regained vitality soon
But it was asking for the moon
It wanted to have a date
I said , even for me it is too late

But it could never fully recover
And will always try to find a chance to meet her
But for sure , it will throw me some day on the road
And my body will be towed

So never take your cycle to meet any beauty
It will immediately forget its duty
And you will be dead on the road
