Mykonos

ModernBard

I sailed to distant Grecian isles

To bestir you’re slumber.

Beset by sirens’ craving smiles,

Our ship was led asunder.

In due course, we made it, tho,

And with tyme to spare.

I kissed you on your lips—your glow

Made the night sky rare.

You opened up your arms to me,

Into which I climbed.

You thanked me for your setting-free

As we made up lost time.

This is a really beautiful poem with a great rhyme scheme and cadence to it. I like the ending! Thanks for sharing!
