Non healing wound

Bijapur1993

Non healing wound

War is an non healing wound

That slowly and silently festers into the conscience of the nation .

The bullet that killed the soldier

Burnt the soul of the civilian too.

Tears rolling down the helpless women

Bust open like a volcano in the hearts of her children too.

Even though it was freezing cold, snowing

People walked on the hot burning charcoal of hatred .

Long after the guns have been silenced

The shimmering fires in the souls of men

Are waiting to burn the forest again ,

Only this time fires will burn on the other side of the border.

'The bullet that killed the 'valiant' soldier
Burnt the soul of the 'passer-by' civilian, too.'

Well written, I can feel the emotion in your words and the fear of that war torn country, may they find the peace that they deserve
