Dark Shadows

emmabush365

Through a tunnel I walk in silent solace
Never looking back but with demons always on my back
Whispering messages of dark futures to me
As darkness and shadow crowd around me like unseen strangers reaching out for me with hands of malice and with Ill intentions.

In dark shadows
I seek my muse
I think it ran off with Josie
Out running wild and loose
It’s been too long since I’ve wrote my mind
In the darkest of shadows is where I’ll find
In dark shadows
I seek my juice
Let my mind light up a stitch
A turn of the fuse
And a flick of the switch

Follow your muse or she shall not be close
at the time you'll need her most.
Nurture your shadow for in darkness finds
the fires of creative minds
Demon devices may cry imposter
Identify you fraud
Claw and creep and steep and fester
hurt you worse then whipped with rod
Keep you crawling down that tunnell
Keep you reaching for that switch
Keep recovering from that tumble
keep you pushing 'gainst malice

In dark shadows
Evil lurks
Little red beaty eyes peering from within
Calling out the names
Of those who have sin
For penny nor pound
No one to win

Day by day evil strikes my heart
Digging deep and hard but yet I'm stringing
Along. Looking for the light at the end of
The tunnel yet it's dim. Yet I keep on my
Path won't let it destroy me.
