it'll be us again

Miss Begotten

i'll miss you like there's no tomorrow

i'll miss you when i use my pens you used to borrow

she's gorgeous, a picture perfect beauty

with love at her core, she couldn't be more lovely

she's proud of her calligraphy

her penmanship's the best i've ever seen

she'll love you deeply

she'll ignore all the times you were unseemly

she'll give you everything she has to give

she'll make it worth it, she'll make you want to live

and she's been my best friend for 5 long winters

and 5 beautiful summers

and i can't believe this is our last summer

together

i will love you forever

even when you're miles and miles away

it'll be long long days

without your little ways

but i know someday

you'll be one of my bridesmaids

one day it'll be us again

laughing about the way our toes feel in the sand

we'll drink lemonade from the dollar tree

that we know has way too many calories

we'll sit in your car during a tornado drill

talking with nothing but time to kill

we'll photoshop our pictures to prank our friends

they won't fall for it but we'll still try it again

someday it'll be us again
