These nights it seems like it is harder to cope
to hold on to hope
Feels like there is a boulder on my chest
Making my heart heavy
but it continues to pump faster and faster
It is getting harder to breathe
I have to gasp for air
Deep breaths
to stay grounded
Unable to do that
My mind is all over the place
and my body is constantly walking on eggshells
I wish for a peaceful sleep
