I’m a man of passion
I’m a man of pride
I’m no millionaire but
There’s more to me than meets the eye
I’m a man of family
I’m a man of friendship
There’s no quarrel
That can’t be mended
I’m a man of good work ethics
I’m a man of respect
If it’s honestly earned
It won’t be from neglect
I’m a man of faith
I’m a man who’s spiritual
I believe there’s someone or something
That loves us all equal
I’m a man of elation
I’m a man of sorrow
I reminisce of yesterday
But I look forward to tomorrow
I’m a man of Nature
I’m a man who cares
For all living species
This Earth for all to share
I’m a man of thoughts
I’m a man of words
There within my heart
My muse surely heard
I’m a man of innocence
I’m a man of guilt
Like a flower with no rain or sun
Without love I’ll begin to wilt
I’m a man of love
I’m a man of emotions
For a lovely lady
She’s my truest devotion
I’m a man of loss
I’m a man of life
I’ve loved the same woman for over fifty years
Though she’s not my wife
I’m a man of lessons learned
I’m a man of many things
With my feet on the ground
That lady gives my heart wings

Good Write,take care.
Thanks dean for the read and compliment. You take care as well.
This poem really struck me. It's really well done, though you've loved the same woman over 50 years, but she's not your wife? None of my business just curious. This poem touched on a lot of things, you are a true gentleman---Christina
Thanks Christina. Its ok to be curious. Without curiosity, one might never discover their Muse, eh? 😉
Good write AP.

"There’s no quarrel / That can’t be mended" Thank you for your sage words!
Thank you Rocky for reading and commenting. 😉
Very honest words that really did touch my heart, also what a beautiful contrast you have displayed with being a man of innocence and a man of guilt at the same time. and I also believe that love isn’t something that should be labeled to confirm with social norms, love is unconditional and spontaneous i’d rather say. This poem put a smile on my face. Thank you dear A.P
Thank you Arvy for your spot on review of my poem. Much appreciated. 😉
