Solitude

Milind Gautam

I wander by the sea, I'm fond of it's
tranquil bay,
So mesmerizing, so divine that it's
worth my gaze.
I lay at the shore when my day is
ash grey,
It makes me sigh all the pain away,
It makes me stay.

Back and forth when it tides and
sways, it whispers my name,
Telling how much I was longed for,
The sea don't want me to leave
again.
I wonder how fairly it mimics my
soul,
So conflicted, in which light and
darkness fight for control.

So gently it submerges me,
So tenderly it touches my soul,
Must be a Goddess, nigh the shore
She dwells in the sea,
her abode.
She took me in her arms, wiping my
tears,
She never looked down on me for
the sins I bear.

At the sea I embrace myself,
Sometimes I break myself to
reshape myself.
One glance of it nurtures my
livelihood,
It is my everything, my bliss of
solitude.

'yeah I too - love, those waves
    of lulling serenity
we can only find on a placid
    seashore, in sync
    with our heart's weary pulse
    revitalising, as it
    soothes our aches and worries..'
    thanks for sharing
    a wonderful read

Beautiful! The ocean 🌊 is such a healing place. I loved your poem! The ocean definitely touches my soul, too. Take care!
