J Doe. 23.
(The same price as the bullets that set them free.)
Deceased.
J Doe. 18.
(The same floor as the window they used to flee.)
Deceased.
J Doe. 17.
(The same number of pills that answered their plea.)
Deceased.
J Doe. 13.
(The same length of chord they had at the scene.)
Deceased.
J Doe. 7.
(The same time it took them to fall and find heaven.)
Deceased.
Gen Z. 9-24.
(The same people who can’t do this anymore.)
Victim. Injured. Seeing medical attention.

- Comment from author about the poem: I\\\'ve found that I write poetry as a coping mechanism for many things in life and use it to process what is happening around me. I am also a college student and my college is facing tragedies everyone hoped we\\\'d never have to deal with on campus. I felt like I had to share this one. It may not be good, but it spoke to me.
