Beacon

MikeDubisch

When does a lie become a lie,

When it leaves the lips?

Or when it blossomed in the mind

When does an act become a life

When in fact the life inside

Breathes a very different air

Air from another world

But the lie the lie it lives for you

It walks within your shoes

It wears your pants, it wears your shirt

The lie becomes the truth

Storms can rage beneath the surface

Beacons can be lit

And still all out in that stormy weather

Will likely take a hit

  • L. B. Mek

    consequence, as enforced
    choice-less, Choice
so all, hide - to survive
    and fall, into destiny's trap...
    if only, in life
we could ask for our bill's, early
let other's stay by the buffet
    some of us, know
    far too well
    when its time, to duck
    and Dive, within our Cocoon's
    of denial...
(a write, I could relate with
    on many levels
    so much complex insight
    distilled, accessible)
    thanks for sharing, dear poet
