Sounds of Footsteps

marinaalicea14

Sounds of footsteps can penetrate a soul;
From the simple pitter patter a child
To the monster that consumes you in your wake
And in the room from which you hear these footsteps
You find no comfort;
Because maybe if you could not hear,
The footsteps would not haunt you
In the days you wish those footsteps were to disappear
Remember, that soon your own footsteps will be heard
And it is up to you to decide whether or not
YOUR footsteps will penetrate, or dissolve into nothingness.
