Sad

HannahSpring

Confusing memory for company
The shadow's song, a symphony
Wallow in the sympathy,
The guilty aches.

Hope is futile, splintering.
Fractions of a heart dividing
Hiding. In the depths of lonely chests.
The misery chokes.

Sadness searches for a synonym
To dress, impress its dignity
Which poisons fleets of sanity.
And yet we all digress,
It is sad.
I am sad.
