She

Milind Gautam

She was a flower, stood dazzling with pride,
Embracing the limpid glory of her young leaves,
With the light from heaven anigh.

She was unaware of this cruel cold world,
That someone's sheer audacity would harm her petals and whorls.

She stood there helpless, her misery knew no bound,
They deflowered her,
Devouring her pride, they watched her
breakdown.
