An Office Romance

Daves Bloke Poems

While you're distracted, I'll just sneak a quick glance.

But I just can't help it and get caught in trance.

You start walking over and it looks like dance.

What else to expect from my office romance?

Stood at my desk, you ask me 'Whats up?'

I get so embarrassed, I nearly knock over my cup.

I say 'It's just something, I thought I saw over there'

But as you turn, you flick back your hair.

You look so pretty, I nearly fall off my chair.

And it sounds more like a poem when you say 'Who, what, where?'

Then turn back to me with your beautiful eyes and stare.

My soul sets on fire,  you're ever so fair.

I turn back to the screen, to try and look busy.

But you smell so damn good, it makes me feel dizzy.

So I go on a break to get something fizzy.

On my way back, you smile when you see me.

I think to myself, how could anyone, be ever so dreamy?

And although I fear this love, will be left unrequited.

Whenever I see you, I just feel delighted.

Before I was married I had a work romance and that little dalliance turned into quite the buzz around work. You have a gem of a poem here, great job!
