Longing

sorenbarrett

I look back on the past like a child when the circus is over.

It is time to go home

yet the magic remains in the mind and pulls at me crying "just one more time."

Ah yes those entertaining days of time gone by and the lessons we like to kid ourselves we've learned. Wisdom is a comfort blanket when just as you say beneath its warm smugness we want the thrill of the ride "just one more time"

Long ago memories, when enough time has passed it's as if they were a dream. The older you get, the sweeter they are. Thank you for reminding me.
