Draven

An empty room,

bags packed.

Silence.

A moment to herself, sitting in a familiar chair,

that was never hers and will never be.

Her former beloved, whom she will always hold dear.

The end, although necessary and expected, is bittersweet.

She sheds tears thinking of what could have been.

They embrace for a final time,

to say goodbye

and now they are free.

Oh Draven - endings are always that bit sad - I know how it feels to sit for a moment in tears thinking what could have been. A moving read. in all sorts of ways.

The emotions spoke so beautifully in this poem and the few words translate all of those emotions so vividly.
