The Love I Want

DestinysPerspectives

I am tired of a love that is airy, dissipating like raindrops on window panes once the air touches its surface.

I am tired of a love that is fiery, with my life burnt to cinders as the only memories and nightmares to remain.

I am tired of a love that is watery, leaving me suffocating under its chaotic waves while its storm touches my surface destroying everything in sight.

I want a love that is earthy, with its roots grounded into mother earth and the growth of our love only supplies us with infinite abundance.

I love how you mention the four elements .. earth , air , fire and water .. it is so important to be grounded and stable in life , even in love I guess . We have to feel secure and safe ..

    A great poem 🙂

Thank you for reading and commenting! I thought using the elements in a love poem to express the differences between the love I didn't want and the love I do want was a really cool idea. Yes, just like everything else in life that grows love should be grounded.

That love exists, you just have to ask for it and believe that you will get it,
      Not all people are selfserving

Yes exactly! It's taken me a long time to learn that but now that I have, I do feel hope again when it comes to love. It's just the waiting period that gets exhausting. Thank you for reading and leaving a a comment filled with very wise advice!

Everything happens in God's time, when the time is right, it will happen, just believe that it will
