Life: A Precious Gift

They give us love,

Attention, and aid;

They gift us bliss:

Our lovers.

 

They give us sight,

Ideas, and advice;

They gift us power:

Our friends.

 

They give us hope,

Safety, and solace;

They gift us peace:

Our families.

 

They give us pride,

Basis, and welfare;

They gift us spirit:

Our fathers.

 

And God through

Our mothers, He—

Gives us the most

Precious gift: life.
