raft of reeds

dusk arising

i cant stand lies
because i never suspect they're there
until its too late
and something precious is broken

like our bond
once so genuine, now afloat upon
a raft of reeds
falling apart upon your waves

I don’t like being lied to .. especially if it’s someone you know and thought you could trust .. it definitely affects relationships . A good writing , dusk )

The opening lines say it all to me Dusk - - - - I relate to that never suspecting a lie and on finding out I weep buckets of not understanding why - - sad but true that it breaks up many relationhips.

The real lie is the one you didn't know till the very end when all the cards were played.

Some people are so good at telling lies in such a 'truthful' fashion. When the truth comes out, it's a real shock that it was false. The End.
    Your poem expresses this beautifully.

Upon some lies life was laid
Amidst the one was a saying that read
“ Your the most precious” but all that was a golden lie
Amidst that misery most lives were loved until they met the grave
Truly understand your feels dear Dusk
    Well inked dear Dusk
