So then, this Polonius dude dispenses all this great knowledge upon his son about how one should conduct oneself in society, to include fashion tips, husbandry, the borrowing and lending of money, even when it’s best to “steal” oneself away from the company of thieves and criminals, only to completely abandon all wisdom and insert himself in a domestic dispute between the most powerful family in Denmark, hides himself behind a curtain to spy on two of them, and gets run through by a sword, mistaken for a rat.
