One Way Window

dafodilgirl8

Looking through a one-way window,

Waving through the glass

Watching people smiling, laughing

Waiting for them to pass

Knocking on the solid pane,

Wondering why they can't see

They're entwined within their perfect world

And your window isn't clean

They've been here all their lives

To them, you'll never belong

Why bother cracking the window,

When they've hated you all along

You know you'll never enter,

But still, you always stand

Outside of the one-way window,

The glass up against your hand

Praying the window will crack,

Someone will admit you within

But they draw the curtains swiftly,

And you're alone in the dark once again
