Mysterious place

Shanelle Harris

I'm traveling to a place, that no one else could ever know, I live in a moment of my own thoughts, searching for answers, discovering stuff I didn't know I knew, getting lost along the way to the highest mountain climb.
I can hear the river roaring as the waves splash against the cliffs, as if it's screaming for an answer back. I can smell the fresh cut  grass from below, but knowing how to escape all the scary moments would be too easy, so you search for another way to go, another place to go.
I'm somewhere safe, and warm, a place I once thought of as a home, all the bad thoughts seemed to disappear. I can hear laughter, but all those happy feelings are too good to be true, cause with a moment in time, they forget your even alive.
As I sit here under this tree, the breeze blowing through my hair, the stars shining off the water, I look out at a far, knowing the difference between a dream, compared to reality.
As all the bad thoughts come rushing back, I get lost in a different track. Where two souls were meant to be, the thought of one another makes you think of the word eternity. First thing in the morning, to the last thought before you fall asleep, until you see them once again in your dreams, you can feel the energy of one another, the devotion and passion between the two, like finding a treasure you don't ever want to loose. Now it's time to come back, lost in my own thoughts, my own world, that no one else could ever know.

    surpassing the milieu of our
    circumstance
to reach for a better, we can imagine
    into reality
is a wonderful utilisation of our
    creativity
    while, finding enough wisdom
    to appreciate, such an accomplishment
    and then to verse it
in emboldened ink, so other's - too
    can realise, such an oasis
    exists, in our life's
what a gift, to share with the world..
    dear poet, thank you
