Just for us Lemons

Neville

Just for us Lemons

when I fell for you

I fell gently ..

the trick is, to learn

from those

inevitable mistakes

we make

along the way ..

and then

to move on stronger

whilst avoiding

bitterness at any cost

since that

is just for us lemons ..

Tart is the sour lover who rejects gentle sweetness - -- hope she reads this and feels some bitter regret.

      What clever words you chose
      Mingling relationships as lemon
Yet I could find my lemonade
Well even lemons brought an advice
      Lemons are truly refreshing
We make lemonades and lemon marmalade
Lingering is the taste of the lemons in my garden in my thoughts
And remembering the friendships that were as lemonades
      Stronger with age

This is why they tell you to put sugar on your lemons. On the plus side, some other guy is now getting the lemon effect.

          • Neville

Ah' yes .. the lemon effect, aint it great when that aftertaste is someone else's problem 🙂

            I like lemons
could eat one, like an apple
            skin and all..
that's what a taste of life, has gifted me
            now bitterness, is my ideal
            of sweet...
            (wise words, dear Poet
and yes the key word, is bitterness
we can't afford to make our hurdles, in life
            warp our perceptions
into thinking, all is bitter and grim..
            we move on, survive
            with our lemonades, in hand)
            lol

too many carrots, will do that to ya
                'pink flushed and jaundiced'..
                lol

Oh the wisdom in these words. WE used to say "taste and try, before you buy".
I can't understand why so many have to part with bitterness unless lies and deciet have played a major role. Logic says most pairings will not work out. But, there again logic and love is a pairing bound to fail LOL.

therein that little rectangular frame that holds those sage words of yours up there, just above these,
.. mighty powerful truths are contained but in view of any who venture this far down .... Neville

I'd say that when life hands you lemons, make lemonade. That's if you like lemonade. On the other hand, there's a lot to be said for fruit punch, you get a little bit of everything. Good write!

                    • Neville

thank you so very bloomin much for checking in and gracing my little scribble with those kind words Bella ............................................................................ Neville 🙂

So much truth here. We are always learning from our mistakes and moving on, until we make them again, sometimes! Clever lines.

                      • Neville

thank you so very much, both kindly & true ................. N
