Strawberry Rain

Kurt Philip Behm

Gentle as a razor,

her words cutting deep

Robbing tomorrow

of yesterday’s sleep

Her voice rising sharply

to greet the new pain

A bleeding Madonna

—in strawberry rain

I love the contrast in the first 4 lines, it creates such a mental image. A beautiful poem!

    Thanks again, Bella. Much appreciated.

    Dear Kurt,

    ā€˜A bleeding Madonna
    ā€”in strawberry rainā€™
    A powerful vision
    flooding my mind.

    Thank you for sharing.

      My pleasure, dear Poet.
Whatever or whenever you put ā€˜pen to paperā€™ and share it, I will read it.
I will unapologetically tell you that Iā€™ve completely fallen
      ā€˜hook, line, and sinkerā€™
      for your work.
Speaking of which, Iā€™ve just begun reading ā€œOne Novel Under A Pseudonymā€.

      Happy Easter
      to you as well.

        Honored again. Thanks Laura.
