squirrels in the rain

Nadia

i continue on my walk
as the rain starts to fall
turning towards your house
trying not to slip

i arrive and see
a matching smile
you grab my hand and we run
as i bite my lip

we find a willow tree
sad and drooping
i spot a tire swing
and we fly and twist

we walk back home
you are sad
the fun is over
i give you a warming kiss
