Be unique and they will admire

Sophenia

Conforming myself to the rule

Not knowing what that is

Being so afraid to be seen as a fool

Trying to prevent by making analyses

Trying so hard to conform to their idea of normal

But finding out that it's never good enough

Things I do within the rules will only make me more abnormal

Rules are made to be broken, but that can be really tough

It's better to not try to conform

Rather stand out and inspire

It doesn't matter how you perform

Be unique and they will admire

  • Comment from author about the poem: I noticed that always when I try to do somthing with the intention of following the rule, the rules that others have, it is never good enough. But when you do what's best for yourself, not for others, it suddenly is good enough, because it's you, the authentic you. Your uniqueness will cause admiration from others. So be the beautiful abnormal fool you are.

I was brought up to conform in a terribly middle class sillyness which has taken a long long time to shake off.

      Now i'm me (ish)
      in my wellies
      or wearing a suit
      its true i tell ya
      i really dont care
      what they think
      i dont give a hoot.

If you dont follow a rule,
In their eyes you are cruel .
        If you are unique,
        You can be admired
But you can be also fired.
        I Face it every Day,
Should i adapte or do it my way?
