Because the daisies stretch their limbs
Between the sand and sky.
Because the willows lend a perch
For wrens and jays to cry.
Because the breeze, the grass, the bees
all rise to dance at dawn,
My soul shall rest and bask in light
For winter’s grasp has gone.
