Too Close For The Comfort Of My Heart

FallenAngel1πŸ•Š

My fear of getting too close

It still exists

Even on here

my heart

It resist’s.

There's nothing wrong with that my friend, sometimes we all need to take a time out and breathe then our creativeness returns to us

Yes, we don't tell everyone all of our heart. In some cases we don't even know the guy or gal much, when they may ask 'How are you?'

      So true orchi,so very true.Cheers πŸ₯‚πŸŒΉπŸ•ŠπŸŒž

Nicely expressed human nature. I guess us poets are an emotional bunch and have known the pain of broken love. Quite natural to be reticent around the area of forming another close relationship. Self preservation.

Self preservation yes,but I’ve got to let that fear go. I can’t let it rule me. Thanks dusk. CheersπŸ₯‚πŸŒΉπŸ•ŠπŸŒž

        (your impactful shorty, inspired
        these words
of a wannabe poetic reply from me
        thank you, dear poet
        for always keeping it real)
        'they try and split, knowledge
        between learnt behaviour
        and innate..
        while I simply pulse, consequence
        in eardrums, that flinch
        at approaching fingertips
        be they ghostly or real
        for somewhere deep within
        that part of me, arriving
        squealing, furious
        from first breath, knows
        there is crimson heat
        in every fingertip
and yet.. another part of me
        remains - frozen
        in fear of making connections
        that scold, like reality's
        far, too - real..'
