gossip

jark

you know, i’d like to think there’s gossip

behind my back, that i’m a conversation topic

because for a photographer,

sometimes i feel like a ghost

when i never in photos, never fit in my clothes

when i never leave my head, never leave my home

i'm hoping there’s some gossip about me

when i'm gone, people thinking about me

doesn’t feel so wrong, even if it’s mean

if it’s about me, and to be remembered for anything

is better than dying and not being seen

    lol
    'bleh'
    is perfectly fine, dear poet!
(Gertrude Stein, an iconic member/mother figure
    to that Paris 'lost generation'
    once
    on receiving an exam paper
chose to answer, with a single line:
“I am sorry but really I do not feel a bit like an examination paper in philosophy today.”
    To this, William James
    (yeah, that's 'The' William James)
    responded:
“I know exactly how you feel."
and gave her an A mark...)
    what am I on about..?
    'its ok, to not
    feel ok, dear poet
    and to worry
    about our portraits
    in posterity's, reductive light..'
it's all natural, so lament freely
    to your heart's content
    then get back up, when
    you're good n ready
and give it all, another go!
    (thanks for sharing)
