She Wants To Be Free

The fire consumes and grows

bigger and bigger

can not be contained

within the cage

The desire to be free

 

She wants to run

but the baggage weighs her down

She wants to fly

but she does not have wings

She can only look at the sky 

in envy of the birds

 

The seed planted

The veins sprout from the soil

and reach out their hands towards her

grow longer and longer with no limitations

tying her down

chaining her up

 

She can not escape
