I don't want to forget you
but I don't want to live in the past.
Sifting my way through the memories,
the good times that they didn't last.
Yet in the past they do remain.
In my mind, you've left your mark.
Rose tinting my world when the days are dark.

(the synchronicity
between your poetry
and Goldfinch60's accompanying music video
on his write, 'Pedantry Limerick'
is just amazingly, surreal..

and yes, I relate
with every word of your write
dear Poet, thanks for sharing
Ah wow, nice 🙂 I just checked it out and I think I know what you mean.
Thank you!
Having been there time and time again, I know just where these words of yours came from .. and I feel for you write now but know as I'm sure you do deep down, it will pass and things will feel so much better ............................... Neville x
Thank you Neville ♡
I'm about 5 million years old, so I say - eh? It's understandable if you forget some of the days you met me!
I talk some rubbish. lol.
Haha, what can I say, I guess you are an old friend 😉
And lighter, brighter days will come again.
Once we have lived in the dazzling light of love all else seems twilight. Life in the twilight makes us stronger and more worthy. Wouldn't you rather meet someone who has known twilight than one who has not... Life teaches us as does love.
Absolutely. I regret nothing. The hurt has its place as well as the brighter moments. Hundred percent life here with me 🙂
Beautiful poetry..🌹
Thank you so much
