The death of Osiris

sorenbarrett

Basking in the warmth of our relationship

I grew lazy, filled with drowsiness I napped

I did not notice the sun’s setting or waning rays

Awaking in the darkness, I shiver

unprepared for the cold of night

There are many 'sunlights' we may bathe in and whilst relaxed take them for granted only to feel their true worth and value once they are gone.

Experiencing the void of loss teaches us to value the sunlight whilst it shines and pay it due respect, homage and love that we may enjoy it's company in a shared harmony.

Thank you dusk for your review and comments. It is true that things are only valued afterwards. Taking things for granted can result in loss.

Yes it is true. We often take things for granted especially when it's been around for so long. Then suddenly it's not there and the loss is profound. A good write.
